Lima Bean's Story

Lima Bean's wait for a forever home was longer than anyone hoped.

She spent more than 500 days at League City Animal Care, becoming one of the shelter's longest-term residents. Because of her extended stay, her adoption fee had already been waived in hopes of helping her find the family she deserved.

Although she wasn't officially part of the Stella Strong-sponsored adoption event, her story became one of its most memorable.

Everything changed when a family took Lima Bean home for a Pajama Party—a sleepover program that gives dogs a chance to relax outside the shelter and helps families get to know them in a home environment. It didn't take long for them to realize she belonged with them.

On June 12, 2026, after more than 500 days of waiting, Lima Bean was officially adopted into her forever home.

While Stella Strong didn't sponsor her adoption fee, we are honored to celebrate her story alongside the other dogs who found loving families during this special event. Every adoption is a victory, and Lima Bean's reminds us that no matter how long the wait may be, the right family is always worth waiting for.
