Coco's Story
Coco
Sometimes helping a dog means helping the person who loves them, too.
Coco’s mom relocated from North Carolina to Massachusetts to care for her terminally ill daughter. After losing her daughter, Coco became an even more important source of companionship, comfort, and love during an incredibly difficult chapter of her life.
When Coco needed to be spayed, the approximately $1,300 cost created another burden at a time when her mom had already been through so much. That’s when the Stella Strong community stepped in.
What started with a small amount in the Stella Strong fund quickly grew as people heard Coco’s story and wanted to help. Donation after donation came in, and together our community raised approximately $825 toward Coco’s surgery.
It was a beautiful reminder of exactly why Stella Strong exists.
No single person had to solve the whole problem. People simply gave what they could, and all of those acts of kindness added up to something meaningful for Coco and her mom.
Because sometimes love looks like $5. Sometimes it looks like $20. And sometimes, when enough people choose kindness together, it looks like $825 worth of hope.
Coco is now part of Stella’s legacy — another little life touched because one very special dog taught us how much good love can leave behind.
