Blanco's Story

Blanco's journey to her forever home had a few unexpected twists along the way.

When she arrived at League City Animal Care, staff discovered she had a microchip. After some investigation, they were able to locate her original owner, only to learn that Blanco had been rehomed years earlier. Unfortunately, the new owner had never updated the microchip information and could not be located.

With no way to reunite her with the family she had most recently known, Blanco began searching for a new forever home.

Over the next month, she quickly became a favorite at the shelter thanks to her incredibly sweet personality. Everyone who met her could see what a loving companion she would make.

Then came her Pajama Party.

Spending time outside the shelter gave one special family the chance to truly get to know Blanco, and it didn't take long for them to realize she belonged with them.

On June 23, 2026, Blanco was officially adopted, turning what began as an uncertain journey into the happy ending she deserved.

Blanco's story is a wonderful reminder to keep your pet's microchip information up to date, but it's also a testament to the power of second chances. Even after an unexpected detour, she found a family who loved her exactly as she was.
